Westward Partners Acquires Classic Vacuum Truck


SEATTLE, WA, February 10, 2014 - Westward Partners ("Westward"), a leading smaller middle market private equity firm, today announced its acquisition of a majority interest in Alida, Saskatchewan-based Classic Vacuum Truck Ltd. (“Classic Vac” or the “Company”) one of the leading providers of vacuum truck services as well as other specialized trucking services to oil and gas well sites throughout southeastern Saskatchewan and southwestern Manitoba. Classic Vac is Westward’s 10th acquisition and its 2nd portfolio company in Saskatchewan.

Since 1997, Classic Vac has built an impressive reputation for providing well site maintenance services to oil and gas companies in its target geographies. The Company has grown from one truck and trailer to a diversified fleet of vacuum trucks, a fire truck, water trucks and most recently a hydrovac. With facilities in Alida and Redvers, the Company is ideally positioned to service the growing oil and gas fields in southeastern Saskatchewan.

Classic Vac was acquired in partnership with a previously acquired portfolio company, Curtis Construction Ltd. and the President of Curtis, Dale Curtis. Randy and Tammy McCannell the founders of Classic Vac will continue on with the Company going forward and help drive its future growth and success.
