SEATTLE, WA, July 2, 2019 - Westward Partners LLC ("Westward"), today announced the acquisition of Western Truck Body Mfg, LTD. ("WTB" or the "Company") by its portfolio company, OSW Equipment & Repair, LLC. ("OSW").
In business for nearly 60 years, Edmonton, Alberta-based WTB is a Canadian leader in customized commercial and industrial truck body manufacturing and repairs. WTB offers the services required for the compete upfitting package: in-house design, metal fabrication, installation, electrical, hydraulics, and painting. WTB represents OSW’s second acquisition of 2019.
WTB provides OSW with highly complementary product lines including lighter duty bodies and assembly capabilities of specialty service trucks. Post-integration, OSW will look to expand WTB’s customer base into the United States by offering WTB’s high quality aluminum work trucks to municipalities, saving them time, effort, and money. There are also opportunities to cross-sell WTB’s products to OSW’s customer base and vice-versa. WTB owners Rob Pangrass and Brian Wedman will be joining OSW post-transaction to provide continuity of the Company’s vision and strategic plan, overlaid onto OSW’s larger manufacturing footprint.
"OSW leadership has known Rob and Brian for quite some time and we are very pleased to partner with them and the WTB team," said Westward Founder and Partner, Erik Tolzmann. "WTB’s proprietary products and strong reputation in lighter duty bodies add breadth to OSW’s business lines, opening up cross-selling opportunities and the ability to offer their premium bodies down in the US."
